My name is Mrs. Peterson and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Anthem School. I can't tell you how excited I am to live and work in such a wonderful community. I have been teaching elementary school for seventeen years and still love it as much as the very first year. I am a third generation teacher so I have been around amazing teachers my entire life. I knew since I was a small child that teaching was the job for me. I graduated from ASU West with a degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Early Childhood. I later went back and received my masters degree in Elem. Ed. I am currently working on a second masters degree in Administration and Supervision.
My days are spent at school, but my nights and weekends are dedicated to my family. I am married to a wonderful man, Jerry, who is a Sergeant with the Phoenix Police Department. We are lucky enough to have three awesome children...Hannah (14), Rebecca (13) and Tyler (10). They are all involved in activities such as football, soccer, cheerleading, basketball, NJHS, and Student Council. They keep us very busy. We also have three dogs... Cody (our lazy beagle), Winnie (a.k.a. "the princess"), and Abby (our wacky pug). Life at my house can be a bit crazy, but we have a lot of fun! We love the beach, going to the movies, and football...GO AZ CARDINALS!!
